About
The Purple Weekend is a festival oriented to the music and mod culture of the 60s that has been held annually in the Spanish city of León since 1996. Currently the Purple Weekend is held for four days, from Thursday to Sunday, at the Exhibition Palace of Lion.
Throughout its history, Purple Weekend has hosted artists such as The Charlatans, Redd Kross, Urge Overkill, Buzzcocks, The Black Angels and many more.
Purple Weekend is the Mod festival par excellence in Spain. The festival has contributed to the dissemination of independent music in Spain and has been an important promoter of musical culture in the city of León.
