Martijn Garritsen, known in the art scene as Martin Garrix, is a Dutch DJ and producer who has managed to become a reference in house music. Born in 1996, he picked up his first guitar at the age of 8. However, it was Tiësto's performance at the Athens Olympics that marked a turning point in his career, motivating him to become a DJ.

In 2012 Martin Garrix released "ITSA", his first official creation. In July of the same year, he signed with Spinnin' Records, the record label with which he would later become famous. In fact, he didn't have to wait long for the first of his hits to be released.

On 17 June 2013, "Animals" was released, a single that soon began to be played on the most important radio stations in Europe and received more than 700 million views on YouTube. Also in 2013, Garrix reached the number 1 spot on Beatport, an online shop specialising in electronic music, with the remix of "Project T". In 2015, Garrix severed his ties with Spinnin' Records and started his own record label.

Since then, his fame has only grown. With a discography of more than 27 singles (including Animals, Wizard, Tremor, The only way is up and In the name of love) and a studio album released in 2016, Martin Garrix is already a true benchmark in the electronic genre.

In 2021 he released "Greatest Hits Vol. 1" with Area21, his side project formed by Martin Garrix & Maejor.
