Norah Jones es una joven cantante neoyorquina. Toca piano y compone sus propias canciones. La mezcla entre el jazz, el pop, el soul y el country, y su melodiosa y sensual voz, hacen de su música un género único y muy popular.

La venta de sus discos alcanza las 40 millones de copias y ha ganado muchísimos premios, entre ellos, nueves premios Grammy en donde se destacan álbum del año y mejor interpretación vocal pop femenina y tres World Music Award, como mejor artista femenina mundial, artista de pop femenina con más ventas a nivel mundial y artista adulto contemporáneo con más ventas a nivel mundial.

Además, ha ganado otros premios internacionales como Premio Echo a la producción de jazz del año y varios Porin Awards por mejor video musical extranjero, mejor canción internacional y mejor álbum internacional de género musical jazz.

Norah Jones comenzó su fama a los 22 años gracias a su álbum Come away with me, luego de enamorarse perdidamente de la música country. Entre sus canciones más famosas se destacan Sunrise, Don't know why, Turn me on, Happy pills y Not too late. También ha colaborado con grandes bandas como Foo Fighters, The Little Willies y Belle and Sebastian y ha aparecido en discos de otros artistas, tales como Mike Patton y Herbie Hancock.

Sin embargo, para ella, el éxito y arte de hacer música son dos cosas diferentes, ya que lo único que espera es expresar sus sentimientos en cada una de sus piezas, como si fueran pequeñas escenas de una gran obra de teatro.
