About

Stjepan Hauser is a Croatian musician born in Pula on June 15, 1986. His family has always had a great artistic tradition. In fact, his mother is a percussionist. From a very young age he was interested in musical education. He completed his training some time later at Trinity College of Music in London.

Later, he furthered his cello knowledge with Ralph Kirshbaum thanks to a scholarship at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. Ultimately, he trained alongside the late Bernard Greenhouse, one of the founders of the Beaux Arts Trio.

Hauser's first professional experience

All this formative experience helped the artist to achieve his great dream: to dedicate himself professionally to music. In October 2006, when he was only 20 years old, he was invited to play at the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy. He was the only cellist allowed to attend the event. After impressing the public, he achieved multiple invitations to festivals throughout Europe.

Some time later, in 2009, he was selected to participate in New Masters on Tour. These were several concerts that presented young artists in various European cities. That same year the artist opened his channel on YouTube, quickly surpassing one million views. 12 years later, the figure reached almost 500 million.

Start at 2CELLOS

The success achieved on the internet was intensified when he started playing with his friend Luka Šulić. Together they recorded several songs that were successful with the public, which led them to create 2CELLOS. They recorded their first album in 2011 with the Sony label. The following year they appeared on the well-known series Glee performing a song by Michael Jackson.

2013 was another year full of successes. 2CELLOS released their second album, titled In2ition. After this work, the offers for new concerts continued to grow. Hauser combined his time between his group's tour and his own, in which he shared the stage opening for Elton John.

The group's third album, Celloverse, was published in 2015. After its release, they signed a 38-concert tour of the United States. This gave great popularity to both artists in the American continent. His next album was recorded in 2016, but it was not released until the following year. All songs were recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra and contained popular soundtracks from the world of cinema.

The first live performance to perform these songs took place in Sydney, Australia. They did it in an incomparable setting and with all tickets sold at the Opera House.

In 2019 the group repeated a tour of the United States, this time with 30 concerts in less than 70 days. After that intense work, 2CELLOS took a little one year break. However, Hauser continued to work alone with the release of his new album Classic in 2020. Once again, the London Symphony Orchestra provided the accompaniment for all the songs.

After that little break, 2CELLOS came back in action with more energy than ever. In 2022 the group carried out a tour around the world
