Festival Starlite Occident Tickets

The Starlite Festival is much more than an event on whose stages singers of recognized national and international prestige have performed. This annual event, held in Marbella, has given rise to a product that is as innovative as it is attractive. Its two and a half month duration has made it the longest festival currently held in Europe.

This festival has its origins in 1983, when Prince Alfonso von Hohenlohe, Julio Iglesias and Plácido Domingo organized a concert in which the famous tenor performed. Three decades later, the idea was recovered by the couple formed by Ignacio Maluquer and Sandra García-Sanjuán. The couple founded Starlite in 2012 and, since then, they have not stopped organizing one edition after another in the same location.

Each one of them has been repeating and even surpassing the success of the initial one. Not even the COVID pandemic managed to prevent it from taking place in 2020. It did, however, force us to limit its duration to less than half the number of days. It was, thus, the only international initiative of its characteristics that was ever celebrated, which caused the rest of the planet to focus its attention on it.

Consolidated as a great social and cultural meeting, the event has become a benchmark throughout the European continent. It features classical, pop and rock music, as well as different DJs and electronic music.

With the arrival of summer, Nagüeles transforms every year into a unique amphitheater, an auditorium with rock walls that hosts Starlite performances. This natural environment gives rise to an auditorium of rock walls whose dome is a firmament full of stars.

It is considered a very attractive place for concerts and the rest of the activities included in the program of this festival. Its excellent acoustics deserve special mention, as confirmed by those who have had the opportunity to enjoy its musical evenings.

Throughout more than a decade of history, the festival has featured performances by great artists. The first to take part were, among others, George Benson, Armando Manzanero, Estopa, Miguel Bosé, Julio Iglesias and Raphael.

Other names well known to the national and international public were soon added to this list. That is the case of Bryan Adams, Paco de Lucía, Hombres G, Sara Baras, Alejandro Sanz, Marta Sánchez, Juan Magán, Carlos Vives, David Bisbal...

Furthermore, in its most recent editions, it has had the participation of Aitana, Melendi, Maluma, Simple Minds, Passenger, Andrea Bocelli, etc. This shows that, far from losing importance, Starlite still has top-ranking figures in its annual program.
