ABOUT 1001 MÚSICAS

The 1001 Músicas Series combines Nasrid art with the philosophy of hosting avant-garde musical artists.

The first edition of the 1001 Músicas series took place at the monumental Alhambra in Granada in September 2021, hosting concerts by Love of Lesbian, Lori Meyers, Loquillo, and Rozalén.

The fifth edition of 1001 Músicas – CaixaBank is already warming up after its official presentation at the CajaGranada Theater. This year, the festival takes a step forward with a more ambitious format that will span various emblematic venues in Granada: the Palacio de Congresos, the Plaza de Toros, the Industrial Copera hall, and the CajaGranada Theater itself.

Between July and September, the city will be filled with music with a series bringing together national and international artists. Headlining the lineup is legendary Led Zeppelin vocalist Robert Plant, who will perform with his new band, Saving Grace. Completing the program are artists such as Michel Camilo & Tomatito, Travis, Iván Ferreiro, Morgan, The Cat Empire, Antonio Orozco, and Ana Belén.

True to its eclectic spirit, the festival will once again focus on a diverse sound: from Latin jazz to flamenco, pop, alternative rock, indie, and roots music. The program will kick off on July 18 with Michel Camilo & Tomatito and close on September 26 with a concert by Ana Belén.
